Faith
Strong belief in something, especially in a religion or in a person.
What is it?
Faith means trusting in something you cannot see or prove. In religion, faith is believing in God or gods. In Buddhism, faith includes believing in the teachings of the Buddha and in bodhisattvas like Guanyin. People who made and used the Guanyin statue had faith that she would hear their prayers and help them. The statue itself is an expression of that faith. Faith can also be about trusting in yourself or others.
