François-André Vincent (1746–1816) was a French painter. He was a leading Neoclassical artist. He studied in Rome and was influenced by ancient art. He painted many historical and mythological scenes. His painting "Arria and Paetus" shows a Roman story about a wife's bravery. Vincent used clear lines and strong colors to tell the story.
