Bernardo Strozzi (1581–1644) was an Italian painter born in Genoa. He was also a Capuchin friar, which is why he is sometimes called "Il Cappuccino" (the Capuchin). He painted many religious subjects, like saints and biblical stories, as well as portraits. His style is Baroque, with strong contrasts of light and shadow (chiaroscuro) and vibrant colors. One of his famous paintings is "Saint Lawrence Displaying the Church's Treasures," which you captured. He also painted "The Cook" and "Allegory of the Arts."
