What is it?
New Guinea is the second largest island in the world, after Greenland. It is divided into two parts: the western part belongs to Indonesia, and the eastern part is the country of Papua New Guinea. The island has vast tropical rainforests, high mountains, and coral reefs. Many animals live only here, including the crowned pigeon, birds of paradise, and tree kangaroos. The crowned pigeon is a bird from the pigeon family that lives in the rainforests of New Guinea and nearby islands.
