What is it?
Vietnam is a country in Southeast Asia, bordered by China, Laos, and Cambodia. It has a long coastline along the South China Sea. Vietnam has many different habitats: tropical rainforests, mountains, and river deltas. The Edwards's Pheasant lives in the wet forests of central Vietnam. Other animals like the saola and the Vietnamese crocodile also live there.
Why it matters
Vietnam has high biodiversity and many species found nowhere else. Protecting its forests is important for conservation.
