Horn of Africa
A region in eastern Africa that includes Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, and Djibouti, home to the Somali wild ass.
What is it?
The Horn of Africa is a peninsula in eastern Africa. It has a dry climate with deserts, grasslands, and shrublands. The Somali wild ass lives in this region, especially in Ethiopia and Eritrea. Other animals include the Soemmerring's Gazelle and the Nile Lechwe. The region is also home to many other unique species adapted to arid conditions.
