What is it?
Tropical plants live in the tropics, the area around the equator where it is warm all year. They are adapted to high temperatures and lots of rain. Many tropical plants have large, colorful leaves and flowers. Examples include bromeliads, orchids, and palm trees. Tropical plants are often grown as houseplants in cooler climates.
