What is it?
Tarantulas are a group of large, hairy spiders in the family Theraphosidae. They are found in warm regions around the world, including the Americas, Africa, and Asia. They have eight legs, two body parts, and fangs that inject venom. Most tarantulas are not dangerous to humans. They eat insects, small birds, and other small animals. The Brazilian salmon pink bird-eating tarantula is one of the largest tarantulas.
