Ancient Egyptian religion was polytheistic, meaning they believed in many gods and goddesses. Important gods included Ra (the sun god), Osiris (god of the afterlife), Isis (goddess of magic), and Horus (sky god). They believed that the pharaoh was a living god. They also believed in an afterlife where the soul would be judged. The coffin of Henut-wedjebu shows her devotion to the gods Horus and Amun, as she was a singer in their temples.
